The holiday season is in full swing. That means parties and get togethers with friends and families! At The Coffee Cave, we thought you'd enjoy some holiday coffee drinks you can make at home that are perfect for the season.

So we've rounded up a few easy-to-make recipes to share with you. Enjoy!

Honey Coffee

This Spanish-inspired coffee is super easy to make and delicious! We recommend using our French Roast coffee for a rich, full-bodied flavor with the additional benefit of notes of raw honey.

Honey

Prefer decaf? Go for a dark roast decaf to give this pleasing drink the same rich flavor but without the caffeine.

*This recipe yields 4 servings*

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Cups of strong-brewed coffee

  • ½ Cup of Milk (or milk substitute)

  • ¼ Cup of Honey (or sweetener of your choice)

  • ⅛ Tsp of Ground Cinnamon

  • ¼ Tsp of Vanilla Extract

  • Dash of Ground Nutmeg

DIRECTIONS:

In a saucepan combine strong-brewed coffee, milk, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat thoroughly over medium heat, but do not boil! Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Peppermint Mocha Latte

If ever there was a coffee drink that reflected the spirit of the season, it's this one! You can practically

hear sleigh bells ringing. It's perfect for pairing with opening gifts on Christmas morning.

We recommend our Sumatra coffee for this holiday coffee. It's full of flavor, highlighted with notes of

Candy Cane

pepper and a chocolatey smooth finish.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Cups of Strong Brewed Coffee

  • ½ Cup of Milk (or milk substitute)

  • 3 Tbsp of Sugar

  • 1 Tbsp of Cocoa Powder

  • 1 Oz. of Bittersweet Chocolate (finely chopped)

  • 2 Drops of Peppermint Oil

  • Crushed Peppermint Sticks

DIRECTIONS:

Combine strong-brewed coffee and ¼ cup of milk (or milk substitute) in a saucepan over low heat. Do not simmer! Blend in sugar, cocoa powder, and bittersweet chocolate and cook for 4 minutes (stirring frequently) until ingredients melt and are fully blended. Add in 2 drops of peppermint oil.

Pour hot coffee mixture into 4-6 mugs. Warm remaining ¼ cup of milk (or milk substitute) in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Using a whisk or Bodum French Press, froth milk until as foamy as desired. Top each mug with frothed milk and sprinkle on crushed peppermint sticks for added taste and decor. Serve and enjoy!

Hazelnut Macchiato

Love chocolate and hazelnut? This one's for you! It's a wonderful way to start a chilly winter morning. Our Sumatra coffee is an excellent choice for this drink.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 Shots of Espresso or ⅓Cup of Strong Brewed Coffee

  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Syrup

  • ¼ Cup of Milk (or any milk substitute)

Pour the espresso or strong brewed coffee into a large mug. Stir in Hazelnut Syrup, Chocolate Syrup, and Vanilla Syrup. Froth warm milk (about 30 seconds) over a stove top using a whisk or a Bodum French Press. Pour warm frothed milk into the espresso (or coffee) concoction, top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce for an extra touch of sweetness. Serve and enjoy!
